Why can't people just leave poor Bartman alone.

Why can't people just leave poor Bartman alone.Because he failed to turn a double-play that would've ended the inning...oh, wait, no...

Here's what I posted on YouTube...
Yipes...I'm laughing hysterically. I was in a laundromat when this happened, and I cheered like crazy when the Marlins scored 8 runs that inning. I was working at a radio station in Chicago at the time, and I was so mad at the local media for acting more like fans than reporters. I wanted so bad for the Cubs to lost at least game 6 of that series so all the local reporters would look so stupid. After game 7, Cubs fans were so upset, but I and other Sox fans were laughing our heads off.
Ah yes...sweet memories. Sweet, sweet memories. No wonder the Chinese people consider "8" a lucky number. Sure worked for us.

Good Times back then. But the current in-season euphoria can only be matched by 1969. I just finished listening to Hub Arkush and the Sun-Times Cubbie beat writer drool over themselves, even invoking the likely involvement of God in the inevitable march to glory.
My advice: In the event of a Rich Harden lasting longer than 100 years, seek immediate WSI attention. (or eat a churro)
