He won't be ready until late August or early September by the looks of it. You're basically giving him a chance to start 3-4 times in the regular season and then maybe pitching in the post season? I don't know, but that doesn't sound real encouraging.

Of all the Freddy Garcia pictures out there, the free press chose that one? :scratch: lol. Maybe they used it because it was taken in Detroit??

I love "Big Game" Freddy. He was one of my favorites from 2005. It might not be a bad idea for Kenny Williams to kick the tires on Freddy to provide a little Contreras insurance. After the Clayton Richard experiment, I wouldn't mind having another veteran in the mix. Too bad Loaiza was finished. He could have come in handy the past couple weeks.

I'd pass. If the pitching starved Phillies dont think that Garcia could help the team out this season, I have my doubts Freddy could help the Sox...

I love "looking at" as being some kind of big deal. It costs nothing to look. Every team has scouts, why wouldn't everyone "look?"

He signs with the Tigers. Nice low risk move for a team with a shortage of SP.
