Is that something Kenny should consider

If you can't pitch in the N.L., you'll get lit up in the A.L.

I resemble that remark.

You would get him for "free" and he wouldn't be the worst bullpen guy on the staff. Still, no.

Should the Sox take a look at Scott Eyre...just launched by the Cubs. He can't be any worse than Boone Logan.

Been there, done that. Don't bother. Plus this has been covered before.

since that little scoreless streak of his ended, he's sported a 7.15 ERA in 19 appearances. tough to argue he wouldn't fit right in!

He real bad. Nobody should touch that guy unless he's willing to take a minor league deal.

"He can't be any worse than Boone!" The new rallying cry for our bullpen. :D:

He hated playing for the White Sox. Said this when the Cubs signed him.

Exactly. I'd rather not have a guy like that on the team. He sucks too, so that makes it easier.

By "that," I'm guessin you mean cutting relievers who are not performing, Eyre being a "who." I don't know if any reliever will be sent down or otherwise dismissed when Contreras comes off the disabled list. Richard already is gone.

There isn't a huge difference between the relievers being cast off by teams now and the relievers you have on your team that you want to get rid of.

Eyre, by the way, was the first pitcher from the minors to start in 1997 after the Sox traded Alvarez, Fernandez and Darwin at the deadline. In Anaheim, he gave up three runs in his first major league inning. By the time the Sox scored their only run of the night, they were losing 6-0 and Eyre was out of the game. I was fortunate enough to miss that game and instead watch the debut the next night of Chris Clemons, who gave up five runs in the second after pitching a scoreless first.

Exactly. He signed with the Cubs and took the time to bad-mouth the Sox. Plus he sucks. **** you, Eyre.

Nice signing by Hendry. I remember he was a huge guy on the market back in 06. He's had two very lackluster seasons with the Cubs since.

Why does Hendry like our scraps? Cotts,Eyre,Howry....think he would take Logan straight up for Marmol?

Anything for Logan right now would do for me.

Cotts is actually having a nice season.

Agreed, right now I'd give Hendry Logan for a bag of balls, the cubs batboy and the hot blonde in section 51 seat 12.
Oh and throw in a few Falstaffs too!

KW-Calls Jimbo Hendry
KW:Hi there Jimbo, I was just wondering if you'd like to take another reliever off our hands.
HENDRY THE THIEF:It's that Logan kid, right?
KW:Yes, I am not asking for major league talent because he's stinking it up right now for our guys, but I know you need a lefty and one of our fans wants to make a sexy time with a hot drunk skank blond chick in the stands. Could you do that for a buddy.
HENDRY THE THIEF:HA HA HA, that blond belongs to beautiful, cool Cub fans only. She is only to be displayed at Beautiful Wrigley Field. She can never be seen amongst your ghetto, trailer trash, mullet haired fanbase. I'm not even giving you the batboy, either. I win every deal I make, just look at the D. Lee for Choi and Aramis Ramirez and Kenny Lofton for Bobby Hill trades and this would be a wash at best. DENIED! How about Logan for Old Style?
KW:Eh, whatver. *click* hangs up the phone

According to AM1000 Eyre traded to the Phillies for a single A pitcher.
