The writer of this article speculates that he might. I sure hope not.

All the attention Ozzie is getting points to good things for the Sox. :bandance:

Dirty little secret? Come on! Every Major League manager has ordered a bean ball I'm sure. This is just another case of people jumping on Ozzie because he's honest and it's easy to do. I love everything Ozzie said.

Well, if he gets suspended, he'll spend the time observing the club from the owner's box, so he can accurately assess his team and work his magic for the remainder of the games this year.

(someone tell me what color this should be)

How would he be suspended if the crew chief even went out of his way to apologize to Ozzie?

Wow, who cares? It was in THE PAST. He never said he intended to hit Olivo. So are you going to suspend a manager for his actions in years past? It's not like he bet on his team like Pete Rose.

I'm sure Trey Hillman didn't intentionally hit Dye on back to back days in the same exact spot on purpose.

Let him get suspended. Let MLB take their pound of flesh out of his ass, so it looks like they're not "tolerating" it. Let him sit next to KW and JR in the box, watch the game...

As the Sox tear off an 8 game win streak. Let someone get good and mad and take it out on the opposing team. We need our 1st place back.

Ozzie makes himself the target. This is one of his most redeeming qualities as a manager.

That said, author of the article went with the easy out of Ozzie being an easy target.

I don't think Jeff Passen decides who gets suspended. He seems to be the only one writing about it, except the Moron who I refuse to read.

Will he? Probably.

Should he? No way.

Haven't you heard? Umps keep a detailed record of when certain players yell or bitch at them. When the time is right, they'll order the pitcher to bean him. They're like silent ninja assassins! That's why yesterday's home plate ump apologized. Apparently, he had mistaken Olivo for Jose Guillen.

Hasn't Ozzie admitted to this in the past? Didn't he say as much during the whole Sean Tracey thing? Haven't other coaches admitted to this?

If he gets suspended, whatever. It won't have any effect on the team to lose him for a couple of days. He'll still be around. He'll still make out the lineups.

This was exactly my point. You think a suspended manager can't manage the team via phone if he wanted to? The only difference will be that we won't see Ozzie sitting in the dugout.
