This Sun Times article by Cowley is hilarious:

What is the reference to Uribe "killing Bailey (Buerhle)" about?
Why did he protray Quentin as he did?

I love the Quentin line.

I think he's trying to say that he's a little intense. But that's just the way we like him!

I agree...that he may be intense...Ozzie has made reference to it also..something like he can be as glum as he wants as long as he keeps producing.

intense and hot..jeez really what more could a girl ask for? (okay maybe a bit of a haircut...but outside that!)

Funny article...and I can honestly see Swisher bouncing around Griffey.

I didn't see this posted anywhere, but if it is I apologize. This article REALLY pisses me off! What purpose does this idiot intend this article to serve? Why doesn't he just save a lot of time and just write "I Hate The White Sox"?

A little attempt at comic relief during the dog days of a pennant race.
No harm,no foul.

I actually thought it was funny--it was all tongue in cheek stuff that too far fetched for anyone to take it too seriosly. It had the Sox as a bunch of misfits. We all know thats not true. FUnny he didn't mention the 2 flakes we really have, AJ and Swish

The Boone Logan reference is really creepy and juuuuuust a bit over the top.

I do see the humor, especially the Uribe thing, but I swear it just seems like the Chicago media you guys have to deal with is getting worse and worse:?:

This is a very funny article, all tounge in cheek. Joe Cowley is always fair about the White Sox, this is his attempt at making us all laugh after that embarssment last night at the hump dome.

I'm surprised that he jokes about uribe killing someone.

Cowley must be really cool with the players cuz this is a bit weird. Is this online only or in the print editionas well?

I don't like how he portrays our team at all....so they like to have fun in the clubhouse and are a little quirky? So what? Go Sox and Go Away Cowley!

The most disturbing part of it all was the Dotel/Anderson "thing". :puking:

Maybe I need to see him out of uniform to decide...maybe it totally works! I will concede it may work on him..though with a hat on its a bit mullety (new word there?)

The article made me smile after a miserable night of watching the White Sox give yet another game away to the Twins. Horrible night - I still have a headache this morning.

I'm not a huge fan of Cowley, but I do appreciate him trying to make light of the situation, given the Sox poor play in the series against the Twins.

My favorite part of the article was the Cuban Missile reference. Very funny.

We have a bunch of clowns in our clubhouse. Cowley wasn't ripping them, just making a point that they're, um...interesting.

If you take offense to this you need to lighten up a bit.

The Kenyan runner got me going.:D:

Pretty funny.

Of course he has to mention "blow up dolls" twice in the story. That is soooooo three months ago.

Of all the things in that article, the one thing I could actually see happening is Swisher hugging Griffey's leg. :D:

Funny read! They forgot to mention the part where the Chicago media outlets **** all over you. Welcome to the south side Griff!:gulp:

Didn't Cowley do a thing earlier in the year like trying to a fast ball or steal on AJ or something?

Wow, way to bring in the Deliverence reference for Boone Logan. I wasn't really expecting that connection to made to a creepy southern guy...who's also a bullpen pitcher.

Made me laugh out loud this morning. That is exactly how I picture TCQ. I love him, but he seems like a totally humorless Mr. Intense.

I also liked the "that guy hugging your leg is Nick Swisher" thing.

In an interview, Thornton called Logan the biggest redneck in the clubhouse.
