The roster is now at 38 with Griffey here, Masset and Richar gone, and Sisco on the 60-day DL. Who do you think we're going to add? My guess is a minor league pitcher, either Link or Rodriguez. Any guesses or wishes?

Also if Griffey's addition means the end of DeWayne Wise, then we're down to 37 unless he goes through waivers and is added again. More waiver deals are still possible, too.

They aren't required to have 40, so probably nobody.

Getz is already on.

They'll have to add people anyway if they want to call up anyone in September.

Getz is not on the 40-man.

Oops, my bad. I thought they had to add him last year. Guess not.

Edit: Getz and Link would be my guesses too then.

THey are probably saving room for a waiver deal...Hopefully for a couple of pitchers.

If Masset is going to be replaced to keep the same number of pitchers, then I think these are probably the options:

Jon Link - dominating the minors
Derek Rodriguez - dominating the minors
Aaron Poreda - could he be ready this soon? would be a surprise but if the Sox aren't happy with Logan...
Lance Broadway - sucking
Jack Egbert - getting back on track
Wes Whisler - big lefty with a hard FB, having nice season for Knights
Adam Russell - another shot?
Charlie Haeger - please no
Jason Childers - veteran worth a shot?
Waiver acqusition?

I heard Roger Clemens is still available. I could also see Bonds, and Sosa rounding out the team with the most life time home runs ever.

I would go for Link if they are looking for a one-inning guy. He's been terrific.

If and or when Logan is demoted, I think Richard takes his spot as the first lefty out of the pen. At least Richard should be good for more than one batter, too.

I think they will keep the staff as it is and when Contreras comes back they cut a position player to make room, giving them 12 pitchers again.
