Farnsworth to Detroit.

Now mlbtraderumors.com is reporting that LaTroy Hawkins has been dealt to the Astros.

I understand unloading garbage, but what exactly are the Yankees going to replace them with? They haven't certainly distinguished themselves as having a bounty of good arms this year...

Also, did anyone see Girardi crying about the "loss" of his "friend" Kyle Farnsworth? What's the void they need filled? Someone to fill shot glasses at 99 mph in the clubhouse?

The Yankees actually DFA"d Hawkins when they got Marte.

Hawkins sucked and they basically stopped going to him--nothing to see there.
