July 25th - August 13th is make or break for the Yanks. Thats a tough stretch.

The Rays will finish third in the division.

I really don't like the Yankees or Red Sox, but both will pass the Rays in the standings.

Finally the Rays won't have a top 3-5 pick in the draft. They have so many good young players on their MLB roster and in their farm system it's not even funny.

Gee, I never saw that coming.

Sorry, but throughout this last stand, I have been a total Yankees fan.

I will now resume my normal hatred mode, but I sincerely appreciate the fact that they demonstrated to the rest of the American League that the Twins can, in fact, be beaten.

No surprise. I recently saw the won/lost record of the Yankees in the second half of the year over the past three-four seasons and it's unreal.

They have veteran players by and large and they know how to win.

Not to mention Mussina and Pettitte are pitching out of their asses right now. I am really looking forward to the year where the Yankees and Red Sox don't make the playoffs. I think ESPN would explode....

Posada might be out for the year, who knows when Matsui is getting back. I'm not so sure they're making the playoffs (or finishing 2nd) as others believe.

They're amazing in July and August ... when everyone else gets tired ... they thrive.

More likely they would just take a month off. If the Yankee$ and Red $ux aren't in the post season, they probably figure nobody on the planet cares what happens.

I don't know if that's good for us (considering we can still grab the wild card in case somebody in our division runs away with 95+ wins). But at least they swept the Twins for us.

For those of you reading (or not reading) my posts in other threads, I HATE THE YANKEE$.

They're not out of the woods yet. I still don't know if they have enough quality depth to last out. If they do sneak in, they're not winning much.
