Nice to come out en fuego and score six runs in the first. That's a heck of a way to pick up your starting pitcher!

Win tomorrow to win the series. Then go for the sweep.

Discuss it here.

The Royals are not good. Let's beat them again tomorrow.

Great start.
Konerko has 5 games to back up my claim about him heating up.

Konerko seemed to do better as the game went on, he should have another good game tomorrow.

Great outing tonight against Greinke. I really enjoyed that 1st inning where Greinke threw 25 pitches and we had already batted through the order.

This certainly one of the steps to winning this thing - beat teams like the Royals mercilessly. I still think they have heart (Indians quit)
Well done (except for bags loaded nobody out and no runs)

Good win tonight. Sure people might say it's "only" KC, but a win is a win and Greinke is a good pitcher. Let's keep this going tomorrow!

He's always been a bit of a headcase. If his value gets diminished again (it has before - he was in the minors or the pen last year for a while), I'd to see if he could be a Coop mental reclamation project.

Didn't expect to come home and see that many runs on the board when I turned the TV on in the 6th! It's nice to see Buehrle get some run support!

This was a much-needed win to keep ahead of Minnesota by more than a game. Go get 'em tomorrow, Gavin!

As is Jimmy Gobble, his brother who pitches for the Royals. :D::tongue:

Nice win tonight. Good to see the bats batter Royals pitching as they should. Nice to see TCQ go yard yet again. He reminds me of Frank Thomas in the fact that he is so strong that even when he doesn't get all of it, it still clears the fence by about 10 feet. Too bad the damn Twins won. At least we gained on the Kitties and pushed them 7.5 back.

I've never seen anybody load the bases on three pitches before. Victories must keep coming.

So, the new approach for the Sox is "nobody gets out until everyone takes a turn at bat in the First!"?

I like that.

Edit: I almost forgot-----fire Walker.

Only problem that I see with this game is that we loaded the bases two or three times and failed to do anything...Im just asking for ONE run in ANY of those situations....

Otherwise...quick scoring in the first really sealed the deal in this one...great win....

Good one, Bob! Great start to the weekend. Let's get the sweep!!

Nice start to the second half. Now keep it going.

I don't know the last time I saw a pitcher throw only four pitches and allow three hits and a hit batsman to open a game.

Jason Morneau also won a home run derby...

Psst, it's Jimmy!

Oops... A Gobble by any other name still sucks.
