Hey, gang, I'm looking to going to the Saturday game against the Rays on Aug. 23 and I noticed that online, the best seats now available in 4-packs are in the Upper Box. Being that I only get a handful of games per year, I like to splurge either on the Lower Reserve of LF Bleachers.

Anyways, the point of all this is that the last game I went to in May against the Angels, the Sox released a bunch of lower bowl tickets about a week before the game. Is that something they do all the time, or was that a rare occurrence? Basically, should I panic now and buy Upper Deck tickets or is it a safe bet for me to ride this out and find that Lower deck tickets will be on sale again soon?

Turn ins from the players are released on the day of the game. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't.

If you want to be 100% certain is sitting downstairs, I'd go to StubHub and see what's there.

haven't used it before...but it's a cool concept. from the looks of it though, stubhub will probably be much cheaper than the options listed on that site.

I agree with Milkman about Seatquest (http://seatquest.com/). Been looking for tickets for September (http://seatquest.com/all/Zoomer.aspx?pid=557187&vid=374&eid=164&tb=1), and they make it pretty easy and actually kind of fun, moreso than other sites I've been looking at.
