The pitcher that's on www.whitesox.com is the third pitcher I've seen listed for today. the first was Valdez, the next was Woodard and then the guy that's there now, Benoit. Has anyone heard anything difinitive on who's pitching? In any sense...

No pitcher for texas today. The part of "Ismael Valdez" will now be played by a batting tee. Todd Ritchie looks forward to winning his 4th.

haha, in reality, ESPN sez this about Benoit:
TOP PROSPECTS: Joaquin Benoit, RHP: Posted 4.19 ERA and 9-5 record at Triple-A Oklahoma, with 142/73 K/BB mark in 131 innings. Throws 92-mph fastball, and a plus slider, but has trouble with his command. Will challenge for a rotation spot.

2002 AAA STATS:
Player W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV IP H R ER HR BB SO *
J Benoit 3 2 2.37 6 0 0 0 0 38 24 11 10 0 0 0

Wow, no walks in 38 IP. Pretty impressive.

Whoever this guy is, he's mowing us down today. Why is it that the most no-name guys seem to give us the most trouble?

16 in a row now retired by Texas pitching. Sox have no baserunners since the 3rd inning. And are we ever going to pinch-hit for Clayton?
