Interesting story on ESPN.com posted fairly recently... Jim Bowden and Jose Rijo being investigated in impropriety in the Dominican Republic.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3483972

Anyone got anything about this being linked to the recent firings in the Sox front office down there??

In the article it mentions a possible link to the Sox.

I read the article before posting this...

I was wondering if anyone here knew more than ESPN's inch deep reporting tells us.

They were talking about it on espn news. It's gonna be bad for the Sox, talked about Wilder skimming cash, getting busted with 40,000 cash while crossing the border

While skimming cash is bad, there's got to be a lot more to the story then just that. I haven't seen much on it, but was Wilder invloved with drugs?

When Uribe was implicated in that shooting a while back (btw, has that matter been settled?), I wrote that this was going to be trouble. I have no idea if Uribe did anything wrong, but that country is a cesspool of corruption and intrigue.

I can promise that "getting to the bottom" of these investigations will be nearly impossible. The well is too deep.
