The Red Sox are defending world champions.
There was a congressional hearing on steroids in baseball.
Christian Bale starred as Batman in movie theaters.
The World Baseball Classic will be played during the next off season.
The White Sox are in first place and have a 15 game lead over Cleavland.

What year does the above describe?

Funny how history repeats itself, isn't it?

Its true, aside from sports look at Napolean and the French in the 1800's marched right into Russia and when the blizzard hit, they lost most of the troops and had to retreat back to France, the Germans in WW2 marched into Russia in June of '41 and by Nov, the winters had hit and they were ****ed

sorry, im a history nerd

Throw in the fact that Randy Johnson had a nightmare ten minutes at Comiskey and you no longer have similarities to 2005.

Nice! Now, if only that 15 game lead was above a second place team...Well, I don't want to ruin this great post.

Let's add that the White Sox were screwed as far as All-Star participation goes.

I could get used to the Red Sox/White Sox World series champs rotation.
Our turn. Planets lining up? I am a cautious optimist...it is a better way to go thru life.
