Just curious what players on the Cardinals are on the DL? and what their situation is cause they look really crappy right now(especially their pitching). And the last thing I need is the Flubbies to go on a hot streak and take over 1st place in the division cause the Astros and Cards suck. Sheesh
Hoping the Cards get healthy quick

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

Bud Smith , P
INJURY: May 7. Shoulder.
STATUS: Activated SKINNY: LHP Smith had another pain-free bullpen session Saturday and, as expected, came off the disabled list Tuesday to face the Cubs at Wrigley Field. He may be headed back to the DL after getting rocked for eight runs on six hits and five walks in just two innings of work.

Garrett Stephenson , P
INJURY: May 6. Back.
STATUS: DL SKINNY: After throwing 80 pitches in the bullpen Sunday, Stephenson was deemed ready to begin a rehab assigment. He will start Wednesday down on the farm and then another game early next week. Barring a setback, Stephenson could rejoin the rotation during the four-game home series against the Reds May 17-20.

Woody Williams , P
INJURY: May 6. Oblique.
STATUS: DL SKINNY: Williams, working his way back from a pulled oblique, threw on the side Saturday without incident, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. While he's itching to return to the rotation, manager Tony La Russa doesn't expect him back until the first week of June.

Rick Ankiel , P
INJURY: May 2. Elbow.
STATUS: DL SKINNY: The Cards transferred Ankiel to the 60-day DL to make room on the active roster for lefty reliever Jose Rodriguez. Ankiel is eligible to return May 28, but is very questionable to be ready by then.

Steve Kline , P
INJURY: May 2. Triceps.
STATUS: DL SKINNY: Kline's ongoing triceps pain has finally chased him to the disabled list. An MRI showed no serious damage, but he will not throw for 10 days and is expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks. To replace Kline on the roster, the Cards purchased the contract of lefthanded reliever Jose Rodriguez from Triple-A Memphis.
