This evening George put up the latest WSI Interview. It's with a guy who was part of the glue on those great Sox teams of the 1960's, Ron Hansen.

As I put it "he was Cal Ripken, BEFORE Cal Ripken." You'll find out why when you read the interview.

Good memories on those clubs as well as a funny story or two.

I hope you'll enjoy it!

Great interview, brought back many memories. The Sox were so good in the 50s and 60s its a crying shame that we only made it to the World Series the one time in 59. I was really upset when we traded Aparicio but it turned out to be a great deal as we got Hansen, Pete Ward, Dave Nicholson and the great Hoyt Wilhelm.

That sure did bring back old memories. I can still remember as a kid reading about that trade, and being excited about the team that year. Have to say that trade worked out great for the Sox, but I was just as exited when they got Aparicio back in 1970 as I was a huge Aparicio fan.
