Just a heads up...

I found a little dollar-store type of place selling these for $5. The lady at the register expects them to be gone in three days. The store is called "Deals too Good to be True" around 6400 North Avenue.

That's a great deal....I know they'll be gone really quick.

Speaking of this Monopoly game, when I bought mine I couldn't resist opening it. Oh well!

We'll probably open it up and play it with our son once he's old enough. He won't have any idea who Cliff Politte is, but hopefully he'll understand why Politte is $60 and Buehrle is $350.

Some of the property values:

Willie Harris $100
Timo: $100
Frank Thomas: $120 ouch
Ozzie: $60
PK: $400
Buehrle: $350
Garland: $320
Jenks and Hermanson both $260
El Duque: $280
Crede: $160
Blum: $140
Uribe: $140

Politte that year was such as valuable to the Sox season (along with Cotts) as Jenks and Hermanson.

Mine's still unopened... if I ever get a place big enough for a hobby room I'll get a nice shadow box table so I can finally open it and proudly display it.

Got one for my nephews last Christmas (they still had some at one of the gift shops at Midway Airport, didn't get the fantastic deal this shop is offering but $29.99 was still pretty reasonable at that time) and they opened it and we ended up playing a game... very well-done set, considering they were able to have it ready before the 2005 holiday season.

Too bad Monopoly sucks and is the most overrated board game of all time.

Definitely not going to last another 70 years.
