The Sox have lost two games to the Cubbies. So, Greg Couch unloads on the Sox (http://www.suntimes.com/sports/couch/1018425,CST-SPT-greg22.article).

In other words to sum it all up the White Sox are their own worst enemy with some flaws that are being exposed by the Cubs. I think that Jermaine Dye summed it up best by basically saying, that if the White Sox take care of themselves and what they have to do on the field, and quit worrying about what the cubbies are doing everything, will take care of itself. I just hope that Ozzie takes this guy's advice and doesn't forget his 3x5 card.

I'm having a hard time disagreeing with anything Greg had to say. Ozzie out thinking himself with the Danks game and not thinking with the Contreras game.

Pretty much on point.

I'm surprised Couch's douchbaggery doesn't go over well here. It appears he has the same 20/20 hindsight that it is expected that all our players/coaches/executives have.

The Sox have lost two games to the Cubbies. So, Greg Couch unloads on the Sox (http://www.suntimes.com/sports/couch/1018425,CST-SPT-greg22.article).

One thing I'm wondering-didn't Greg's team just lose three straight to
Tampa Bay, including one game where Marmol couldn't find the plate?
So, wouldn't that series expose their "flaws"?

Poor Greg. It must have been agony for him to live through 2005, especially
when he wrote all year that Ozzie and the Sox were flim-flamming
everyone. He's been piling on ever since. He gleefully danced on the Sox'
grave last year, even going so far as to pronounce that the Sox were in
such a downward spiral that it looked like they would suck all the
way through to 2010! And now here it is, 2008 and the Sox ARE IN
FIRST PLACE!!!

Whatever. I happily ignore the one ignorant moron, I should ignore the
twerp as well. Both are to objective White Sox analysis what Barry Bonds
and Roger Clemens are to good sportsmanship.

I find it hard to disagree with anything in that article. We have been ouhit, outpitched, outplayed and out managed.

Of course - anyone dare questioning the moves of a field manager like Ozzie has got to be what you described.
It's absolute 2nd guessing to suggest that 1/3 of an inning that features 1 walk, 3 homers and 4 singles is waiting too long to remove a pitcher.

Well I had a Cubs fan tell me today that he didn't think the Sox losing was the players' fault. Granted, Ozzie made a couple of bad decisions but I have seen some poor execution by the Sox throughout this series. Winning one game in this series should not have been as impossible as they managed to make it appear.

Ya know, I remember him writing a glowing article about how he was raised a Sox fan after 2005. Soooo... he was either a liar then, or a really sucky Mariotti wannabe now.

Better yet don't read the Sun Times it is a tabloid. The Tribune is bad as well. Pick up a free copy of the Red Eye instead.

It's so sad when you go to other towns and read their sports sections, it's like night and day compared to ours.

When I was in Milwaukee in March I was blown away but how much better the MJS' sports section was compared to both our major guys.

I once had a Cubs fan tell me that they didn't win the World Series because of a goat, a cat, and a Bartman. It's never the players over there!

I remember no such article. Couch has repeatedly mentioned in his previous articles that he was raised a Cubs fan and grew up on the North Side of the city.
