In case anyone cares. (http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubssox/cs-2008-phil-rogers-all-city-team-cubs-white-sox,1,499823.story)

Cubs with a 10-9 edge in players/managers on the squad.

Not too bad, one can make an argument for AJ, JD, and Bobby...well actually as a Sox Fan I can make an argument for every one of our players down to Uribe:D:, but the aforementioned three are the only ones I think are fairly arguable. Soto looks pretty good right now; we will see if he can apply it over 162 games. I will take AJ hands down for the long haul into October. Good choice on the manager. Not too bad for a Cubune writer, most of his arguments are generally well reasoned albeit subjective.

I was puzzled by his choice of DeRosa over Alexei at 2B. Alexei has been fantastic as the starter.

I took his wording to say that it was basically no contest because Ozzie "wasted" so many AB's on Juan

Derosa's been way better.

I'd make it 10-10, adding Don Cooper for the pitching coach. Kerry Wood over Jenks? If you're comparing the numbers for this season sure, but career wise you have got to go with Big Bad Bobby Jenks.

Its just for the season. I still think its a toss up - but Wood has the gaudier strike out/BAA numbers.

I'm surprised with Theriot over OC.

I'm surprised with Theriot over OC.

Especially since OC is in first place.

I'm equally surprised by the CF placement.

I am not sure how or why, but I actually enjoyed that bit of writing from Mr. Rogers. It actually did not seem biased at all. Fun read!

Wood over Jenks ? I can't believe any GM or manager in baseball would make that pick.

When you put both of our teams together, and the choice for CF is Reed Johnson, that is alarming lol.

I'm still not buying the Fukudome over Dye argument. I don't know if he means over the next 10 years, or for one game tomorrow. I guess it would depend slightly on how the rest of the lineup looks. If you needs a high contact lefty w/ OBP then go with Kosuke. If you need some pop in your order, then Dye is your man. They both have great arms, with Fuku having more range.

Dye this year is doing better than I expected, and Fukudome isn't as doing as well as I thought he was going to do with all of his hype. So I guess that's the main reason I'd choose Dye.

I was pleasantly suprised by the article. Very nice to see Joe getting some recognition.

If it's just for this season, he shouldn't have taken OC over Theriot.

I think there's a rule in the Cubune newsroom that you have to write nice things about Kerry Wood at all times.
