View Full Version : Roll Call for the Weekend @ the Urinal (6/20-6/22)

Is anyone going to any of the games this weekend? I know many of us have already expressed our dislike for going to crosstown games, but I think I may go down to Wrigleyville on Sunday and soak in the atmosphere and maybe find cheap tickets on the street right before the game. That is if the Sox have won the first two games of the series.

I will be there Friday along the third baseline and Sunday in the bleachers.

Good luck!

I would do what kevingrt is doing, but I would start looking during the 2nd inning. Thats when you'll find yourself a deal and still see almost the entire game.

I think the flying monkeys will be selling them.

Someone told me about a friend who went there on Memorial Day to see the Dodgers and figured he could get some cheap Bleacher tickets once the game started. In the 4th Inning, the street scalpers were still offering Bleacher seats for no less than $100, so he went to a bar instead.

Sunday people, how are you getting there since the Metra quits running early?

Will be there Sunday, deep left field line with my 3' X 5' "L" Flag folded up waiting to be unleashed and then most likely ripped apart along with my clothes by a drunken Flub fan.

That was going to be my plan. Go around the second inning or something, but damn $100 during the 4th inning. Yikes. Might just have to go to Red Ivy or Sluggers or somewhere.

That was for the Dodgers, I'm betting the Sox get a higher price. The thing is, you're not going to sell a ticket for that much over face value half way through a game, so now the scalper has to eat it.

If the Sox are up 10-0 in the 4th, they will be giving the tickets away.

What are the official pitching matchups for this weekend? I think I heard the Sox are throwing Danks, Contreras, and Vazquez. And I think I heard Dempster is going Sunday. Who are the other 2 for the scrubs?

Sweeet!!

Hopefully my "L" flag will be flying a lot this weekend.

BTW: Since everyone's on to the Cubs Stub Hub scam, would that impact the number of tickets available at the box office on the day of the game?

My friend offered me a ticket for Friday, but I also have a sprained knee so we'll see...I'm still really tring to convince myself to go as I think these are a ton of fun. Interestingly, the Cubs won't allow me to sit in the wheelchair section with my immobilzed knee because I am on crutches, not a wheelchair (I think its knid of missing the point of those sections). My seats are in an aisle thoguh so i can just stick my foot out there but God, what morons.

Make sure your shots are updated. Some of the stuff you can catch there has no cure.

DA REVERAND once spoke of Cubitis:

Also be very aware of female genetic followers/mutants, who to the eye are
stunning, but once caught in their web, you will be overcome by HIV, CRABS and Gangreen.

I'll be there Sunday behind the Sox dugout. Only my second baseball game at Wrigley -- the other was more than 20 years ago, Flubs vs. Mets. Also saw the Bears vs. 49ers there in '68, the game where Sayers first hurt his knee. Sunday almost has to be better than that.

I may be at a rooftop Saturday depending on if my free hookup comes through. Got a trip to LA planned to see all 3 sox/dodgers games and I don't really need to be dropping more money at this point in time.

Saturday with one of my best friends who is coming to town from San Antonio for the game. He's a Cubs fan, but what the hell...I'll have my Sox gear on

5th row UD by 1st base, good seats I think...

I turned down a rooftop for Friday's game. Work function thingy. I'd imagine I'd be the only one there not rooting for the Cubs as its a computer software seller organizing the thing. They're flying people in from all over, hence I was invited.

Well those of you who are going certainly have my respect. I don't like to go to crosstown games, period, let alone the ones at Wrigley Field. Please cheer like crazy for our Sox and represent the South Side well! :D:

My only piece of advice to all of you heading there this weekend:

Go to the bathroom before you enter the park.

Otherwise, you will miss three innings standing in line and will need all kinds of shots at the doc's office to kill whatever you picked up.

Not interested.
I'm very bored with the crosstown thing. Brings the imbeciles out of the woodwork in full force.
