In his last 5 starts JG has gotten an average of 9.4 runs per game which has resulted in a 4 game winning streak. Garland could tie Burlyman with the AL lead with 5 wins tonight.

The down side of this is he'll have to do it against the Texas Rangers who have crushed the kid in his other appearances against this team. The Rangers have hit .440 (33/75) against JG with 5 HR and 19 RBI's.

Look out for these players tonight:

Gabe Kapler:
Avg: .600 (6/10)
HR: 2
RBI: 6
OPS: 2.036

Alex Rodriguez:
Avg: .500 (5/10)
HR: 1
RBI: 5
OPS: 1.345

Rafael "Viagra" Palmeiro:
Avg: .667 (6/9)
HR: 2
RBI: 2
BB: 5
OPS: 2.230

Rusty "WD40" Greer:
Avg: .625 (5/8)
HR: 0
RBI: 1
OPS: 1.417

I think JG will have a much better game tonight. He is a way better pitcher than he was last year when he faced the Rangers. Since he works up and down in the zone, he gets into trouble against power hitting teams if he leaves the up stuff too far out over the plate (I know, scintilating insight like that, I ought to be a broadcaster). This year he has been much better at getting the high stuff in on the hands or out off the plate. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off in his last start where he looked capable of going 7 or 8 innings against a very good M's team. Too bad the rain shortened his night...

Sox absolutely love Rangers pitching, so while I doubt we score 9.4, I wouldn't be surprised if we manage 9.3 or so...

Better make it 9.1 or 9.2 since they're on the road. LOL!

Garland is better this year than before, IMHO, also remeber, this is Ranger pitching we are talking about. We will probably bump that run average up a bit, to... oh, let's say, 15.7

Of course, I could be off... :D:

Garland is on a role and the Sox are due for like a 10 run out burst anyway. I smell a crushing win tonight......

"You know this reminds me of the time I went to the gay pride parade in Chicago, not gay as in happy, which is an entirely other concept, but gay as in 'light in the loafers', 'friends of Dorothy', 'out of the closet', not the linen closet which is where we keep the bedsheets at the Farmer household, and boy they are soft when Mrs. Farmer gets done washing and drying and folding them, soft like cotton, not as in cotton club where the late great Cab Calloway performed, and boy that man could sing. Have you ever heard Cab scat sing, Hawk? That man could flat out jam. That is not the same thing as strawberry jam, which is an entirely different thing from Darryl Strawberry altogether, boy he sure messed up his life with all the snorting and the sex, but I don't know if he ever had sex with a man which brings us back to the orginal topic of whether it is okay to be in love with another man if you are a man yourself, which I am, no doubts about it, uh-huh...

Texas is just behind the White Sox in ERA (7th in AL) despite injuries to Chan Ho Park and Jeff Zimmerman. And they did it against their AL West rivals. They did pay a lot of money to improve their pitching you know...

?? He has a 5.08ERA this season so far. His career ERA is 4.47. Teamwise, Texas has a 4.48ERA and they did it against mostly their AL West foes...
