How do you think the crowd will react to him? Cheers? Boos? I will personally cheer him for giving us one of the best memories that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Nobody should boo him.

Why would anyone boo him? For being a key part of the only World Championship in our lifetimes? For getting some hard-luck injuries? For marrying a supermodel?

Scotty Pods is a class guy, and shouldn't be booed. It was too bad that injuries bogged him down while he was here, because he really got into pitchers heads when he was on base and was always a threat to steal. Plus he was responsible for one of the greatest moments in SOX history (the 05 playoff game-winning HR).

The guy is going to get a well-deserved standing ovation.

Why on earth would anyone boo him?

He'll get cheered on when he's introduced. People won't cheer if he does something good though (like we did for Frank's homers in his first game back)

Why the heck would anyone boo Scottie???

I hope he comes home to a very warm welcome

I don't think he badmouthed anyone and almost all sox fans should remember the walkoff.

Ah, this again.

Why the hell would anybody boo him?

My fault, I didnt know there was already a thread about this. I'm a newbie.

Why the hell would anybody boo him?

Pods was one of my favorite players on that '05 team (****, who didn't like him?). Had he stayed healthy we would have been a lot better in '06 and '07. Oh well. I'll cheer him. I wouldn't mind seeing him get on, steal second and then be stranded there!

I'm going tomorrow and will be wearing my pods Sox jersey. I will give him a hand during intros.

Like everyone on here already said, he was bitten by the injury bug too often and just couldn't regain form from 05. Not his fault, great guy and one of my all time favorite Sox players for hitting the greatest home run in Sox history.

(Sorry Geof Blum, yours was good too, lol.)

I'm sure Scotty will be cheered when he is introduced and in his first at bat. He holds a special place in White Sox fans hearts for his walk-off homer in the '05 World Series. However, it is now 2008 and I will be cheering for the present Sox to play well and beat the Rockies this weekend. We need to get back to our winning ways.
