Has anyone heard any rumors regarding the Sox being interested in any of these guys?

Is this how we got Silverio?

I don't see us being a player on the top guys, but we might try to strike gold with some of the lesser known guys/middle of the road prospects I think.

I think David Wilder has some suggestions about who we should sign.

I think these kids should be included in the draft, just like everybody else, except the Japanese...

Agreed, this is just another way in baseball for the rich to get richer. I mean which of these players will sign with a KC for instance?

Soince these are the rules, lets hope the Sox have their Venezuela connections going with Yorman Rodriguez or Portillo. What better guy to have in Chicago than a guy named Portillo.

And we don't want none of them damned Irish!

There aren't many rules governing these guys. The bulk, if not all, of these guys already have oral agreements. That's just the way it is.

Given the Wilder situation, it's pretty likely we aren't getting anyone.

I think all amateurs, whether they are from Cuba, Japan, DR, or any other country should be subject to the same process as American kids, just like any other sport.
