My own postcript to this article:
I still think the Thome deal hurt us.
He criticizes OZZIE. Here in NYC Mets fans are screaming to have Willie Randolph and his bench coach Jerry Manuel (remember him?) fired because these two sit calmly in the dugout with their arms folded while the Mets underachieve and disintegrate in front of their eyes.
For all the politically correct fans who don't appreciate Guillen:
1) Join a seminary or convent.
2) Root for the North Side Nerds.

Since you are new, fyi: it's against the rules to post an entire article. Just post a link.

I hate how people say the Sox don't have a .300 hitter, yet we have 4 hitters hitting .290. 10 points on the BA means about 2 more hits at this point in the season.

anyone who says this: "As much as anything, it was Guillen's "speed and slash" little ball that was credited with the White Sox's world championship in 2005, but since then they've been a station-to-station team." is not fit to talk about the White Sox.

Probably overstating the "small ball" impact in 2005. It was significant, but the pitching was a bigger factor. Station to station since then? That's accurate.

Overall...it's a pretty good summary of the WSox so far in 2008. Better than 99% of the crap written in the Tribune or the Sun Times.

He calls Juan..."Jose" Uribe.
