About three weeks ago, Hawk was in a depression over a soon to be loss and was in shock that the offense was so bad. He then said something along the lines of this:

:hawk
"Someone is going to pay. I don't know when or who, but someone is going to pay".

Well, it looks like the Twins have paid.:D:

Hawk, what are the winning lotto numbers tonight?

He must have been 2 years ahead because that's basically what he's been saying since '06.

Yes at sucking and scoring 3 runs a game. I'm talking about 5 runs a game consistency.

That's my favorite kind as well, preferably early to make it an easy game to watch in terms of suspense levels. Feasting on the Minnesota Twins like we have been doing can't easily be topped!

Didn't he call Alexei's first dinger?

No, DJ called Alexei's first dinger.

Anyway, if you say the same thing over and over again, you'll eventually be right.

No, Hawk called it. He predicted it several times earlier in the game. He said he had a feeling Alexei was going to get to Sanchez before the night was over.

Someone wrote a nice review of that game. The prediction is referenced in the fourth paragraph:

He most certainly did against the Giants

"Let me tell you about Alexei. As far as our best player, now I'm not talking about who will produce better numbers, but if you are talking about who our best Baseball player is, it's Alexei."

You want to know who Hawk thinks is the best player in the league? Look in the batter's box.

"I tell you, that Aaron Hill, he might not put up the best numbers or hit the most home runs, but what he does out there day in and day out, the way he plays the game, that makes him, to me, one of the best players in baseball."

Carlos Gomez is his new favorite player. He said so yesterday. What is the over/under on when he has a new one?

I'm going to go with a return to Curtis Granderson this week, and plenty of lip service about "That .236 he's hitting, you can throw out. Curtis Granderson, I tell you, that is one young man who knows how to get on base."

Then a Markakis-level man crush on Garrett Atkins over the weekend, and Nate McClouth next week. Thinking about it more, Hawk sure is easily smitten.
