After beating you 10-6 on Friday and 11-2 yesterday, we come out and destroy you 12-2 today!!! Gotcha, Timberwolf!!! LOL! Are you going to spew more of your nonsense over at WSI???

Wow, did I really read Timberwolf saying there isn't much of a difference between Ozzie and Jerry Manuel? As a sox fan who still has Jerry Manuel nightmares, I have to disagree, and I'm not even the biggest Ozzie fan in the world.

Also, Chicago is a world class city that you clearly have not been to for a period of time long enough to really soak it in, and you are wildly mistaken on why Chicago is called the second city, but ChicagoGirl already called you out on that.

Chicago has everything New York does except we have better arcitechture and less congestion. I love NYC, it is one of the top 10 cities I've ever been to, but it really doesn't compare to Chicago.

Oh yeah, and the White Sox are incredible too, and your clearly bitter about the beating you are taking. Good luck keeping us to single digits in the fourth game of this series. This division is ours.

Some very encouraging things to see only 1 week into June:

-Gavin Floyd is already at 7 wins (Danks only had 6 all of last year in his first full year in the bigs).
-Contreras and Vazquez already at 6 wins (In Vazquez' amazing '07 season, Javy didn't get win #6 until the first week of July).

I don't think this is a mass movement, but some WSI folks have registered there. (I'm not one, just FYI.) OTOH, some MotownSports folks have registered here.

Timberwolf has posted there for some time and has insulted WSI posters. As far as I can tell, the folks at MotownSports don't take his/her ravings seriously, any more than we do.

Paulie's timing on the swing of his bat has improved over this homestand. It doesn't seem like he's trying to swing for the fences like he did so much of the month of May. When he's just hitting for contact (just getting on base), that's when he's the most lethal.

Heck YEAH, the more playing time for Anderson, the more likely it is the Sox are up by a ton of runs!! Haha. Seriously though, he's been pretty damn good this season as a 4th OFer. No more questions about the defense coming off the bench for the OF, and he's actually contributing timely hits.

The media guide lists the last time a team completed a 3 game sweep and a 4 game sweep against each team. I will refer to that next year and report back. If the Sox lose tomorrow, they'll still have to list the three game series as a sweep, right?

To me, if you play the same team four games consecutively in the same park, it's a four game series even if it's not regularly scheduled.

And you're wrong, have been told you were wrong more than once, and continue to be too dense to accept the fact that you are wrong. I don't know what else to tell you.

Thick as a Brick is the term Jethro Tull used.

I partied for the new millennium in 2000, even though it did not technically start until 2001.

I'll celebrate a 4-game sweep even though one game technically doesn't count towards the same series.

What a stupid thing to argue about.

Nope...John Danks tomorrow Jose gets to tame the tigers.Weird . . . Jose's picture was on the Sox home page when I checked before, but you're right -- now it's Danks. I wonder if it was a glitch. I didn't notice who the opposing pitcher was.

Either way, the Twins are doomed. :Rocker:

Best thing about Perkins is their coffee.

Hopefully we pound this guy.

The job is not done yet. Let's kick their asses again tomorrow.

Timberwolf has to be in tears by now.Yes, lets stomp on their throats and send them home crying. And then let's fire Greg Walker. :D: What is the official count, JB?

If we fire Greg Walker, we might as well start Brian Anderson every game from now on, if you want to include both widely-discussed topics here at WSI!

What a fantastic week this has been!!! After personally witnessing the offensive horror in St. Pete, I feel that this current winning streak has more than made up for that debacle. I applaud the Sox hitters for stepping it up and the pitchers for continuing to bring it. AWESOME!!!!!

Just to prove your wrong again, I'll say it...your wrong. The Sox swept this series. Tomorrow is a make up game and doesn't involve this series. Daver is right. I know it's semantics, but tomorrow's game has nothing to do with this weekend series. Of course, if the Sox win tomorrow, I'll be happy to say they beat them four days in a row. But, the sweep has already happened.

In the end who cares. I just love when the Sox beat the Twins, and I can't recall the last time they put a beating on them like this.

Wilkes, that baby boy is such a doll!!!! I love his hair!!

I was just thinking yesterday - Alexei is helping me get over my sadness because of Iguchi being gone. I still miss him and love him, but Alexei - he is helping big time! I love the way he's always grinning too like he is loving his job!

According to STATS Inc, the Sox are going for their first four game sweep of the Twins in nearly 31 years.

Take a good hard squint at the schedule, Monday is an offday.

The Twins were swept today, tomorrow has nothing to to do with this series.

Here's what convinces me that this was in fact a four-game sweep: they had the same umpire crew for game 4 as they did for games 1-3.
