Sauerbeck pitching for the Knights? Scott Sauerbeck? He used to be good; depending on age and health, he might be a useful addition later this year.

He definitely looks like a better option than Free Pass MacDougal.

Russel should be next in line though IMO.

Scott Sauerbeck is 36. He recently signed with the White Sox organization after being released by the Reds organization in May. He didn't make the Reds out of spring training and had been pitching in Louisville. he pitdched four innings in four games, giviing up four earned runs for an ERA of 9. Since coming to Charlotte, he has pitched three innings in four games, giving up three earned runs for an ERA of 9.

He looked good when he first came up for the Pirates nine years ago. He was involved in a drunk driving incident in 2006 where he was the passenger, ran from the cops and hid in some bushes. He ended up being convicted on obstruction of justice charges. The Indians released him within two weeks of the incident. He signed with the A's a few days later but was relased at season's end. He hasn't been in the majors since.
