Jordan Danks is listed in Baseball America's draft prospects at #86. The Sox pick in the 3rd round is at #86....coincidence? Probably, but if Danks lasts until that pick I can see the Sox taking a chance on him in hope that his power stoke will come back. He was a power hitting prospect out of HS but moved to the #2 hole in college and focused more on contact than power. He is one of the best college athletes in the draft as well. Time will tell....

He was once a nice prospect, but the decrease in power is sort of alarming. I'd give him a go if he were still available and one of the better options we had to pick from.

We gave up our second round pick by signing Linebrink.

According to my online research, our 2nd round pick would be the 50th pick of the draft. That's what we gave up for Linebrink. I think what the original poster was referring to was our 3rd round pick, which I found to be at pick #81. Either way, for some reason, I have a feeling he'll be gone by then.

If Danks falls this far, he is ours. I think they would have taken him with #50 if it hadn't been given up for Linebrink.

Sorry I meant 3rd round pick in the original post. We do pick at #86.
