I'm not 100% sure on the details, but I did catch the end part of the promo on the Score. I believe they said Ozzie will be appearing at Binny's downtown (in the loop?) signing autographs from 11am-130pm, and that it was $10 to get in (is that the only fee to obtain an auto?). It would take place Friday June 13th.

Did anyone else catch that promo or hear anything about this? Can anyone add to my details or correct something if it's wrong? Considering Geoff Blum signed for $25 per a month or so back, it'd be pretty cool to get Ozzie's auto for $10.

Thanks in advance.

Just found this online for anyone else who's curious:

It's towards the bottom under "South Loop." It looks like he's done this in the past as well. Does anyone have past experience or know what that $10 covers? Shake his hand? Get an auto? Buy an english-to-ozzie translating dictionary?

.......an auto on anything you want? Hopefully it won't be dumb like the upcoming Crede signing where its X$ for an auto on a flat, X$ on a ball, etc.

I have went twice when Ditka was at Binny's and the money goes to charity. At least it did for Ditka. It is pretty organized and they usually let you take pics and get a few things signed.

Yeah these funds go to charity, too. The times are from 1130am-130pm, so I wonder how crowded it will actually get....

If I didn't have to work, I'd go. I'd love to get Ozzie's autograph, though I must admit, I'd be tempted to ask him to say, "Say hello to my little friend!"

I went to an Ozzie signing last year at the Binny's in Willowbrook. It was quite crowded. There was a night game that day, so Ozzie could not stay longer than advertised. I know they had to turn people away at the end.

Yeah, same situation this year as they play the Rockies that night (only reason I know is because I already had tix to that game before I even heard about this appearance). It starts at 11:30am, I'll just get there at 10:45am/11:00am just to be safe.

Unless it's changed over the years, then there aren't any restrictions. I when in '06 and got a ball signed with an '86 ROY inscription and an old '80's baseball card signed.

But Ozzie was the 1985 ROY.

That's why the inscription was free of charge :D:

Will they have photos to buy for an autograph or bring your merchandise?

How early should I get there?

Went down this morning. Pretty good crowd, but the line moved with no problems. Binny's staff was very cordial. Was great to say hi to Ozzie and got a picture of him with my keeeds.

Throwing a few bucks to charity to meet Ozzie and get some autos and pics? Priceless.

The signing was very well handled. It was $10 an autograph. You could buy up to two. I'm sure everyone was taken care of. There was a lot of people there, but it wasn't ridiculous.

My goodness is that store big.
