Coming into this weekend's Mets-Yankees series in the Bronx, Mets manager Willie Randolph was said to be on the proverbial hot seat in the Big Apple. After the Mets two two out of two this weekend, New York Daily News columnist Filip Bondy is claiming (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/2008/05/18/2008-05-18_in_subway_transfer_pressures_now_on_joe_.html) that Yankees manager Joe Girardi is on that hot seat.

I wish the Yankees would be fired from the MLB.

I'll say this much for New York: instant accountability, which is sometimes nice. Greg Walker would not be employed there.

That is right. In New York, the rule is to win or else.

I don't think he'd ever have been hired there in the first place.

It's less about the Yankees and more about a lot of the other idiots in NY

So no Arod, no Posada, Giambi, Cabrera and Damon sucking, and no pitching equals Girardi's fault not upper management?

I think you're beginning to understand the Steinbrenners.

If Girardi is on the "hot seat," the heat is evidently not coming from Hank Steinbrenner. In this column, it is reported (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/2008/05/19/2008-05-19_hank_fails_to_apply_any_real_heat_with_n.html) that Suzyn Waldman told WFAN-AM (660) that Hank is not paid attention to. He does not seem to have the bluster of his father.

Hank Steinbrenner to me is like the Paris Hilton of baseball. Came in to wealth because of daddy and has no idea of what the hell he is talking about.

I just hope there is no video of him with Rick Salomon! :puking:

Girardi ain't going nowhere. People know that Hank is a fool, and they're better off blowing chunks this year and let all that dead weight vanish (Giambi, Pavano, Abreu, etc.)

Girardi is Hank's hire, Cashman is not.

10-1 Cashman goes before Girardi.

The last place Yankees.
