I remember when we drafted him in the 2004 draft, he was a two-way (football/baseball) athlete in high school with a lot of raw power. The buzz around him was that he had one of the highest ceilings of any player drafted by the Sox that year, looks like he's putting things together lately.

Maybe he's the reason Kenny was so quick to give up Chris Carter for Quentin. He has high K rates at every level but could develop into an impact player in the future. Regardless, it's nice to see him and Shelby really tearing things up.

Mabee is dominating in Kanny. Does he have any potential to be something? He kills lefties and is very effective against righties from the stat sheet...

And before you wise-asses get here.... I don't know...mabee?

Seriously - anyone see him pitch?

Getz is also playing exceptionally well. I wonder what his ceiling would be offensively up in the bigs. #2 hitter? Leadoff guy? If we sign Cabrera long term and 1 of Richar/Ramirez sticks at 2b, I'm guessing we'd use him as a trading chip. If the above doesn't happen, maybe he gets a shot towards the end of this year.
