The Sox are paying Thome, Konerko and Buerhle about $41,000,000 for this season.

Not a real good return on investment.

Sox fans should know how to spell Buehrle's name.

They're here the rest of the year. Deal with it.

Still 125 games left. Plenty of time for those guys to earn their money.

Even though I know this isn't teal, I prefer this color font to teal...I take it back, it looks more like sky blue...I'm a fan of that color more than teal.

Something like "They will pay."

Premature. 32 million between 3 players. That's not bad, at years End PK will have 100 RBI and 35-40 HR. Thome will have close to the same if not more, and Buehrle should have 10+ wins after a slow start.

This year doesn't bother me, but if we have to commit even more cash for those three next year, it could be a big problem.

I hope so. I'm more optimistic about Buehrle than PK or Thome, though.

Really the only beef I have with Buehrle is that he craps his pants everytime the Sox get an error. It has happened all season. He'll be pitching fine, and if anyone messes up he just explodes. It almost seems like he feels like he loses all responsibility from that point on.

Very simple; the success of the team depends in large part on the performance of the aforementioned vets.

If they don't produce...it's wait till next year.

I hope KW can move those salaries or he'll be hard pressed to improve the team for 2009.

Thome's not signed through 09. He'll be gone.

Why don't you hold your bloody horses before you start the imperative to move Konerko and Burly.

Paulee's making 12 and Burly's making 14? Big ****ing deal. If they can come back to their career norms or just below, they'll be fine. Those contracts are hardly going to weigh us down

Fquaye is a very emotional mang. Right now you're seeing him in his calm state. If you do enrage him, however, be sure to keep eye contact and slowly back away.

If the Sox keep on hitting (as in lack of) like they've been doing; we'll want him come Sunday.

When he's slated to go against Mark on Saturday.

I'm sure one of the two pitchers will get out of their slump.

Thome's not signed through 09. He'll be gone.

Not if he stays healthy and keeps getting appearances at the rate he has thus far. He's started all but the one game he missed via suspension, and has 153 PA's through 37 games. At this rate he'll easily clear the 1,100 PA's in 2007-2008 that he needs in order to trigger his 2009 option.
