Then there was this little tidbit:

Prior setback
Mark Prior, training at the club's complex in Peoria, Ariz., cut short his throwing session yesterday because of difficulties with his surgically repaired shoulder. Prior is to return to San Diego for examination Sunday, manager Bud Black said. In March, the Padres projected that Prior by now would be making one of at least five minor league starts. But two setbacks later, he has yet to pitch in the minors.

Will that guy ever get it together?

MacDougal?

Doubt it. The Padres don't have anything to offer that will strengthen our big league club right now.

Larry Roughschild and Dusty Baker killed a brilliant pitcher, they should get tried.

Prior's name has been involved in steroid rumors as well.

I doubt it too, but not because of the reason you stated. If we can dump Macdougal and his money and get something reasonable in return, he'd be gone yesterday.

I'm sure no other team is willing to take on his money either, especially the Padres.

This is not a true bckthr thread without a trade proposal with players listed for both teams.

Come on they have plenty of bats that could help our lineup!

I'd love Antoinelli...Given that they have Gerut who sucks in CF, Scott Hariston, who also sucks, in LF and Giles on the wrong side of 35, maybe they'd take BA and McDougal for him?
