I am glad I am 1,000 miles away from this foolishness.

Some think the Boston Police (http://bythebanksoftherivercharles.blogspot.com/2008/05/we-need-bpd-officer-billy-dunn-on-road.html)should bring his lucky officer on the road.

Other are blaming a Dunkin Donuts commercial (http://riggssm.blogspot.com/2008/05/dunkin-blownuts.html).

Then others think the pregame show (http://www.survivinggrady.com/2008/05/dontcha-wish-your-pre-game-show-was-hot.html)with Amalie and Heidi is a distraction. They actually talking about this on WEEI today

Boston is the nuttiest city in the US

Amalie is just a great person. She went to Northwestern and graduated 4 years ago and is now with the Globe. Excellent writer.

Of course she has a fanclub

We can't laugh too hard at the Red Sox fans; as our own fanbase is in a panic over Jenks ("What's happened to him?" the callers on post-game shows ask) and Mark Buerhle ("He should be sent down to AAA and Lance Broadway should be put into the rotation!")

Baseball fans; 162 days of mood swing central.

I heard that call! And the caller didn't even sound drunk! :o:

After that one, I can no longer laugh at anyone else's fanbase; as we got some morons in ours.

This is suddenly a revelation? I guess you haven't been to a Sox game in Chicago lately or read this message board about how your blowsox comrades act at games here. This has been going on for quite sometime.

True, but they've been getting dumber and dumber; either that or they have gotten bolder and just say it out loud (or to call-in shows) more often.

I think maybe they just got the phone or radio technology

Sad thing is, they've found the internet too.

And it just dawned on me. The Red Sox fans have these lovely ladies shown in this thread, we get Gail Fischer and Kerry Sayers; who scare me. A lot. One looks like she could kick my rear, the other has this weird eye-brow thing going.

I blame Ozzie.

Winning causes more pressure to win, in the case of both Soxes?

Fans 8 miles north never cared as much...but things have been getting much antsier now that they're drought stands alone.

A Tiger fan called into WXYT and said the problem with the Tigers is that Sean Casey is no longer on the team.

Have the Red Sox fans started a thread yet claiming that "Accardo, Weathers and Gregg" are better than Papelbon?

According to some here last year, those three are better than Jenks.

I'm glad I didn't hear the "Send Buehrle to Charlotte and bring up Broadway" call. I might have thrown my radio out the window. That's arguably the stupidest comment I've heard all year, and I've heard some stupid ones.

No I begged off that assignment. I will be in Chicago until Monday and then start the Alaska saga.

Son got early release from school so ...........

So I type this from Brendans at Broadway and Belmont which is a scary pub because everybody is from Boston.

My sister in law is a nun but she is drinking me under the table. We both love PBR

I have un-postable nicknames for both of them. They should can both of them and hire Julie Swieca.

Baseball fans; 162 days of mood swing central. yeah i remember driving home from the Sox-Orioles game that got suspended and callers were asking why Oz put Jenks in the ninth. I was like really somebody was dumb enough to ask that question.

Dan Jiggetts said on WEEI ( Boston sports radio ) that he wished Chicago could reach the level of sports talk in the east and said "Chicago fans are morons"

Amalie just picks my brain constantly. She was born in 1982 but asks me questions about 1978 every time I see her after a game.

She loves the WBCN story which is true

Place used to be a gay bar but new owners changed everything 2 years ago.

Now on weekends they get the Lincoln Park crew because of the theater next door. A lot of people who worked at Murphy's moved to the new bar.
