His numbers (http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Fautino%20De%20Los%20Santos&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=501745) were not all that impressive this season.

2-2 with a 5.87 ERA at Stockton. He's allowed 29 hits and 11 walks in 23 innings, and had 26 strikeouts.

Sorry to hear it. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Not that I want Gio to do bad, but he's gotten torched his last 2 times out and now stands with an ERA of 5 and has walked at least 2 in every game he's been in (He's walked 5 in each of his last 2 starts).

It would suck if this cost Fautino his shot at 300 career victories...

Hope he recovers as well; but its getting amazing the amount of players Kenny has moved that have come up with injuries once leaving the Sox. (Rowand doesn't count, as he's a walking injury waiting to happen.)

well, that does seem to stick out, but keep in mind:

Kenny trades a lot of pitchers and pitchers get hurt quite a lot.

Kenny doesn't trade a lot of position players...

Oh man, I don't know why that cracked me up as much as it did, but it did.

Good point. And Iguchi is still going strong!

rotoworld saying he is going to have Tommy John.

Even with that news KW might have not got the better side of the trade.

I'm confused here. Is this an old thread? The S.F. Chronicle reported last week (and it was posted here at WSI) that DLS had surgery, Tommy John style.
