Wow, Fields draws a walk, Owens hits a HR and Mac strikes out two...quite a day in Charlotte!

Ely has gotten some tough luck this year (along with Poreda). I think he's going to be a pretty nice pitcher down the road. Came from a good Miami program.

Anyone concerned with Poreda's K rate?

Yeah he has. 0-3 with a 2.61 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. W-S has a pretty good crop of starters. Ely, Poreda, Rasner, and Dubee have all been pitching well.

It's only been sixteen games, but Owens seems to have improved over last season. His BA is up twenty points over last year and his OPS is up about 100 points.

Wes Whisler is off to a great start at Charlotte. Where does he rank as a prospect?
