Brian Anderson is in the lineup. We're sure to see a win today! Should that have been in teal?

Not really a lot of choice here. PK has something wrong with his hand and Hall is the get-away guy.
I really liked it back when Widger was awesome and we didn't have to worry about AJ taking a break.

Paulie getting the day off eh? I like Quentin in the 5th hole, if he hit 5th in that Orioles game, we would of won by the 5th inning. Too bad Carlos can't seem to see the ball well in the Hump Dome.

He was scheduled to get today off, but since PK hurt his hand they wanted him in there.

I'd like to see him out of there because he can't hit right now. Neither can Swisher, maybe it's time to do some lineup juggling if the offense continues to struggle.

Looks like Ozzie's trying to shake things up a bit without a 2B.

Man, Toby Hall sucks. Go get 'em boys.

So Ozzie says that he's not going to rest 2 veterans at the same time but both AJ and PK are sitting out today?

He had two hits yesterday

That doesn't excuse the fact that he hasn't hit well in the past week or two. He was hitting .455 off Bonser to begin with, it's a confidence thing I guess. Cabrera has been a steady disappointment so far.

That already has me cringing. In my opinion, last night's game was big. Because we don't know what we're getting out of Nick today. A two game sweep in the dome would suck.

I'd have to agree. We already had the defense at that position. It's the offense we needed.

A.J. is a catcher and gets regular rest. The other regulars get sporadic days off.

Another hard concept to grasp apparently.

Twins have 2 shortstops as well!

I'm okay with all the lineups this season so far. Ozzie's been doing a great job, and this is really no exception. AJ is a catcher, he can't play everyday. Brian Anderson (though horrible at bunting) has been doing pretty well as a spot start bench player. There's plenty of offense to go around, let's beat us some Twins.

It's really going to suck if there is a baserunner. Toby trying to throw anyone out? I hope he just sticks it in his pocket, everytime.

He isn't doing much better than what Uribe did at the plate last year. It will eventually turn around, Cabrera is a career .272 hitter coming off the his best season.

AJ hasn't been gunning many people out himself this season. Call a good game, and I don't mind.

I agree. I'm not that impressed with him myself. But he did have two hits, and that may be the start of him coming out of the slump. I'd hate to have him sit the day after he broke out of it a little.

Oh god, that's going to be a nightmare. If A.J. couldn't throw anybody out last night, imagine what will happen to Toby. Masset better get a perfect game in, or else we're in for 9 SBs by the Twins today.

Well Konerko is hurt and AJ needs a day off. I don't understand the issue.

Well Uribe is so bad, you can say that about anybody in the league. We don't just need someone who's better than Uribe, we need someone who can hit. This almost full team slump is starting to cost us games and we need the production now.

There could be a lot of outs made by the bottom three in the Sox lineup today.

BA has been swinging the bat well. Anyways, I'd be worrying about the top 3 more than the bottom 3. Bottom 3 isn't SUPPOSED to be that good.

You can point the finger at a bunch of guys right now...Swisher is 9 for his last 52..that is about 12 games at less than .180, overall average .221
Cabrera is not much better of late with his average at .225
And of course Thome is sub-.200 ...

We have no choice but to take the pain but kenny has Owens waiting in the wings , Ozzie just has to pull the trigger. If we do not show some life this week, he will bring up Owens.. we need a spark from somewhere...at least owens can lite up the bases when he does get on.

And you bench Quentin (our only run producer of late)?

There is no room for Owens. Maybe he should learn 2B, then he has a shot.

Note to people, when Owens gets up, he will be nothing more than a 4th or 5th OF. Plus, it will start more bitching about playing time being taken away from Anderson every time Owens makes an out. Can't wait!

Anderson and Owens should never be on the team at the same time. If Owens comes up, Anderson goes down.

No excuses needed. Stats are stats. Sox are very likely to win this game, even with Masset pitching and Toby catching.
