I really like Broadway....I think if theirs any injury to a starter he should be first one called upon for that certain amount of time and I would love for him to replace Jose next year....

Jose is under contract for 2009. Hopefully everyone in the rotation now will be in the rotation next year.

What I'd like to see is guys like Broadway and Jack Egbert to be in the Sox bullpen and pitch 2-3 innings at a time. The lefty/righty crap in baseball has to go.

But who knows...maybe Broadway will be part of a trade to get a final piece to a division winner this year.

Broadway is sure pitching well. He's stretched out, and if the Sox need long relief and someone to take some pressure off the middle relievers, he would be a good option. He's really developed well the last half of last year through this year.

In game two of their doubleheader, three Winston-Salem pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter. However, there were a couple of problems with this. First, the game was only seven innings and those three pitchers only threw in six innings. And second, the Warthogs lost 3-2. Three runs without getting a hit. Wow.

Winston-Salem lost to Potomac 1-0 in 8 innings in game 1 of the DH
Dubee (L, 2-1): 7.2 IP, 6 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 Ks.
Cruz: 1 for 3, 1 2B.
Ricks: 1 for 3, 1 2B.

Winston-Salem lost to Potomac 3-2 in game 2 of their DH
Zaleski: 5 IP, 0 hits, 0 ERs, 2 BBs, 2 Ks.
Long (L, 1-2): 0.0 IP, 0 hits, 3 runs (1 earned), 2 BBs, 0 Ks.
Texiera: 1 IP, 0 hits, 0 ERs, 2 BBs, 2 Ks.
Miranda: 2 for 3, 2 RBIs.
Retherford: 2 for 3, 1 run, SB (1).
Orlando: 1 for 4, 1 2B.
Allen and Sanchez singled. Colina stole a base.

Kanny lost to Lakewood 5-4
Lowe: 6 IP, 4 hits, 0 ERs, 3 BBs, 6 Ks.
Spurgeon: 1.2 IP, 3 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 Ks.
Perez: 0.1 IP, 0 hits, 3 ERs, 2 BBs, 0 Ks.
Luis (L, 1-1): 0.1 IP, 2 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 0 Ks.
Morales: 2 for 4, 2 2Bs, 1 run, 1 K.
Marrero: 2 for 4, 1 2B, 1 run, 1 K.
Curtis: 2 for 3, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 run, 1 K.
Johnson: 1 for 2, 1 BB, 1 K, SB (2).
Mollenhauer: 0 for 2, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 run, SB (5).

Broadway is a lot better than Masset as a LOOGY option. In my opinion.

Who's gonna break the news to Boone Logan that Broadway just took his job as a LOOGY?

If we need EITHER of them to step up and be a LOOGY, the White Sox are in deep ****....

I'll go ahead and assume that you meant to say long reliever.
