Man the weather has been bad the past few days. Will they get this one in? I would think they are going to try as hard as possible as Baltimore isn't coming back here until 2009 (unless both teams make the playoffs ).

Anybody going to try and brave the conditions?

The Dude is going to pick me up around 11:30. If its still looking pretty crappy I was thinking we could head to a nearby bar.

O's are back to play the Cubs in June. They'd make this up on June 23.

I should have brought my ticket if they don't start until later. I don't have the clothes with me though to sit out there.

Which would suck. The Sox are playing the Sunday night game on the 22nd, and then are off to LA (BTW, does this scheduling suck...we go out to the west coast for three games, then come back to Chicago). So they would have quick turn around, and then go to LA...that's just a sweep waiting to happen.

They go and do that 3 day west trip again in August vs. Oakland. So very stupid unless they have a teleportation device they have not told us about.

You can e-mail your ticket to yourself for $2.

Well Rongey just said as of 2PM tarp still on the field as it's still raining and the starting pitchers haven't even warmed up. I think they won't start now until almost 3PM if not later.

System's kind of sitting there and spinning. Picking up moisture off the lake and those green dots scattered over the west edge of the state are new. Honestly, I don't know how long until this game starts if at all.

I'm hoping they start in an hour or two so I can watch most of the game when I get home from work. Any way you slice it, this is going to be a miserable day for baseball for the players and the fans. Definitely one to watch on TV if they get it in.

DJ was just on and said the radar looks good to the west and they'll almost certainly get this one in.

I remember when the Sox played in Baltimore last week, I think it was Hawk who said that the Sox organization was very mad at Baltimore's for not scheduling the second game of that series as a day game for the Sox' travel purposes on a getaway day after being asked to. The weather looks horrible outside and there is not much optimism for it getting better. Anyone think this rain delay may be an F-you (Mod Edit: This is a violation of the language policy. Type the word as properly spelled and let ther filters do their job.) to the Orioles, as the Sox have a very short trip to Minnesota tonight and waiting this thing out really doesn't hurt. Especially makes sense when you think that the rainout may help us as we can move Javy back to Tuesday in Minn and it will alleviate the question of who pitches Wednesday as everyone gets moved back a day. I know that Baltimore technically doesn't come back here this year, but in reality they do make a trip to Wrigley, with an off-day afterwards, to boot. Maybe this is the conspiracy theorist in me or maybe I'm just crazy!

Iowa looks completely clear. I'm sure we'll get this in sooner or later. At least we have only a short flight to Minny. Baltimore, on the other hand, has to fly back and play in Baltimore tomorrow.

Rongey said earlier that the starting pitchers hadn't warmed up yet so with that said I'm inclined to believe that Javy will still start this game.

Chicago to Baltimore is only about 700 miles. Not that bad of a flight. Not like Seattle to Baltimore.

So probably 3:20. It never seems pitchers are ready on time. Oh well, as long as they get it in.
