I knew that he was on thin ice, but still, a little early...:?:

With all that young talent and pitching....it seems a little odd they did not give him more time than two years.

This was probably more about the man interested in the job than the guy still there.

Perplexing move.

Obviously, 9-12 is not a good record, but it's not like they've dug an insurmountable hole for themselves. One good week, and they'd be right back in the race.

It's really sad that the Reds have been so directionless over the past fifteen years. When I was growing up, you could count on them contending annually.

Bingo. If Walt Jocketty wants the job, it is very hard to justify keeping the current GM unless he is doing an extremely good job.

Krivsky's days were numbered once they hired Walt Jocketty as an advisor back in January. It's a good move for the Reds. Personally I'd have love to have seen Jocketty be our GM, but Kenny will do.

Cincy has alot of young talent and probably with some bullpen help could contend next season, I see Adam Dunn getting traded to bring in some of that bullpen help.

Terrific move by the Reds. Jocketty knows baseball.

Jocketty is no bueno. He and Krivsky are both poor fits for the organization.

:o:

I always thought Jocketty was a great GM. He knows baseball and has a lot of relationships. I suspect Krivsky's firing was more because Jocketty was available and interested than because of their slow start.

Well Jocketty did a pretty good job with St. Louis wouldn't everyone say?
