Maybe I only speak for myself, but watching Octavio Dotel is killing me. Sure he K'd Jeter on a nice sequence, but he has choked in almost every appearance this season. He came in against Detroit on that Friday and allows two inherited runners to score on the first pitch he throws. Tonight he allows all 3 he inherited.

I know the sky isnt falling, but I am getting tired of seeing Kenny Williams going out and getting "sub-par" relievers, who have most recently pitched for Kansas City. Sisco was terrible, and MacDougal still hasnt shown anything.

Dotel was once dominant, his time came and went when he left "Enron".

Dotel was once dominant, then he became the closer in Enron, and that's when he started to be terrible. He was sent to Oakland after that.

Dotel's had a penchant for Cubbing up a lead for quite some time now.

As for the other Royals, I still have some hope for Sisco. The surgery might do him some good. MacDougal is like a tootsie roll pop; hard stuff on the outside, soft in the middle.

MacDougal has also been dominant. He was even great for us in 2006. Saying he's shown nothing is a bit of an understatement.

Well, his ERA IS coming down, perhaps I spoke in haste when I said he was done, but until he shows other wise, I don't feel very comfortable with him coming in with a small lead.

I thought this thread was going to be about the Royals pitchers suddenly losing it after getting off to an incredible start. I guess that discussion wouldn't be in the clubhouse, though.

Who told you that? Or this implied teal?
