The Braves SP just recorded his 3,000th career strikeout.

Too bad he lost the game, no hitting/bullpen last night.

Does this get him into the Hall?

Congratulations to Smoltz and shame on the Braves offense for not showing up to give him a victory.

I'm happy for him. He grew up here in my hometown in Lansing.

The only pitcher in history with 200 wins and 150 saves? He was already in the Hall of Fame, IMO.

He was about 90-95% already in in my book, this absolutely seals it though.

Yea, i already had him in too. Espcially in the hitter friendly era he played in, 3k hits is special.

National League blah blah blah Pitcher Hits etc.

Smoltz is a phenomenal ballplayer. If Eckersley is in, he ought to be in as well. 3,000 K's just seals the deal
