Fernando Hernandez is back with the Sox, the Sox paid $25,000 to re-acquire him.

Kenny basically said that his scouts said these are people you need to put on the 40 man roster, and here are people that you do not. Obviously Fernando was on the do not list. He made it seem very plain and simple.

Either way, AA to the majors is a huge jump. He's still young (24 I think?), so maybe another couple years under his belt in AA/AAA to refine his tools can be his key to success for us or for trade bait.

They actually wanted to keep him. They said they would 'make an offer' to the Sox if they planned on taking him back.

I'm glad we got him back. I was confused as to why we didn't try to keep him when we ended up getting rid of some of the 40-Man guys after the Rule-5 draft. He's no DLS or Gio, but at least we have one of our former spects back.

We made $25,000.

According to the A's site it was 50k

Fernandez had one good outing and then got bombed on next two, he could become pretty decent with grooming

They paid us $50k to acquire him, we had to pay $25k to get him back.
