Sox spoil another opening day, this time it's the Indians. Ozzie's "smart ball" backs Freddy Garcia's dominating pitching for a 2-1 win.
April 10... Whiffing The Night Away
Sox squander early lead, go down swinging at hands of Santana.
April 9.....Getting the Job Done
Sox squander early lead, come back strong with convincing 8-5 victory on the road against reigning Division Champs.
April 8... What A Difference A Day Makes!
No meltdowns today as the Sox spoil the Twins home opener with a 5-1 win.
April 7... Shingo pulls a Wickman
One inning removed from season opening sweep of Cleveland, Shingo Takatsu melts down, allowing 4 in the 9th en route to a deflating 11-5 loss.
April 6.....Saving the Best for Last
Solid performance by Freddy Garcia in his first outing of the year to keep the game close, allowing the Sox to pull out a spectacular come from behind win in the bottom of the 9th.
April 4... Buehrle brilliant in Opener
Mark Buehrle was in mid-season form as the Sox eek past Cleveland, 1-0 for an Opening Day win.
October 3.....Ending on a High Note
Jose Contreras dominates the Royals as the White Sox end the 2004 campaign with a 5-0 shutout victory.
Octiber 2...Royals Grill Grilli!
Royals pour it on as season wears down
October 1... Playing In October
Garland pitches 6 strong innings against the pathetic Royals to end his own mediocre season.
September 30... Buehrle cruises in final start
9/30... In another utterly meaningless game, Buehrle cruises through 9 innings and Sox offense beats on KC with 12-hit, 9-run performance.
September 29...Motor City Mayhem!
A meaningless win, yes, but still impressive

9/27... Jason Grilli pitches personal best game of year, but Sox look dead in 4-2 loss at Detroit.
September 26.....Better late than never...?
Garland turns in one of his strongest outings of the season as Sox play longball to beat the Royals 5-1 in 2004 home finale.
