Earth To Kenny: Your Team Sucks!

August 4 vs. New York Yankees

Levels Finished:
Bubba's game controller was broken, so he wasn't able to even start this one.

Short Take:Even one of our better hurlers couldn't stop the Yankees from effortlessly completing a sweep in our ballpark. The Sox should be ashamed of themselves!

When a team starts off a 10-game homestand winning 3 of the first 4, you'd normally feel pretty good about what the final outcome of the homestand would be. NORMALLY! Unless you are the 2011 Sox, one of the most abnormal teams to wear the silver and black. The end result: Sox finish this homestand 3-7, as Phil Humber and the Sox lost this final game 7-2.

The Yankees toyed with our boys all series long, never holding a deficit. Though it was a moral victory to not give up a run in the opening frame, Robinson Cano changed things immediately the next frame, as he hit a solo blast that cleared the left field foul pole. And it was 1-0 Yankees.

The Sox tied it up in the bottom of the 3rd, as Alejandro De Aza, who actually was given the nod over sucky Alex Rios for the night, scored on a sac fly by Juan Pierre.

The deadlock lasted through the 5th, until the Yankees strung across 6 runs in the final 4 frames, including a 3-run blast in the final frame by Russell Martin, which put this one out of reach.

Oh, Adam Dunn hit a round-tripper in the bottom of the last! Where the hell has that been in 99% of your at bats, Mr. $14 Million Man? You've got some major 'splainin to do!

Maybe it's best this team is going on the road to...uhhh, oh crap! The Twins are next! Look for the Minnesota assault of our guys to continue. Sox fans, go to the standings and print them out right now, because, in a couple days, you won't be seeing our guys in 3rd place anymore. 4th place, here we come! Mark Buehrle will try to temporarily delay that. He is faced by Nick Blackburn. Same time, different place, different channel (CSN).

Ozzio's Game Rant:
I don't care no more, cuz I be takin' my talents to South Beach soon.
