There Are Two Outs, Can We Get Another, Sir?

June 10 vs Oakland

Levels Finished:
Sox were in control, but Oakland fireballs killed the Sox with Sergio's implosion.

Short Take:   Sergio Santos implodes, unable to get a fricken third out, handing the game to Oakland.

With the White Sox up 5-3 in the ninth inning, Sergio Santos got the first two outs of the inning and had Josh Willingham with an 0-2 count. Then it all fell apart. Santos ended up walking Willingham which allowed the floodgates to open. Santos would give up another two walks, two hits, hit a batter, and allowed four earned runs. The damage was highlighted by a three-run double by Scott Sizemore. This was all with TWO outs. Absolute horse manure as the Sox ended up losing 7-5.

Things started out well. With Oakland up 1-0, Paulie launched his 16th homer of the year, a two-run shot, in the first to put the Sox up 2-1.

With the score 2-2 in the fifth, we'd take control. Alexei Ramirez opened up the Sox half of the inning with a double. TCQ (Thee Carlos Quentin) then reached on an infield single. Alexei would score on the play on a throwing error by Oakland third baseman Scott Sizemore. TCQ then scored on a Alex Rios ground out. After AJ Pierzynski singled earlier, he eventually scored on "Big Donkey" Adam Dunn's single to put the Sox up 5-2.

Oakland would eventually make it 5-3 until the aforementioned Sergio Santos completely imploded to let Oakland win the game. This is just one of the reasons the Sox are under .500 in the second week of June. They really need to win the next two to take three of four from Oakland. Pretty lackluster homestand so far.

Ozzio's Game Rant:
"People complain when I make Thorn-ton the closer, so I make Sergio close. I should just make Oney closer, at least it will keep him off Twitter."
