August 10 vs. Minnesota Twins

Immunity:
TCQ
Exiled:
Freddy Garcia

TCQ accounted for 2/3 of our RBIs, while Freddy didn't give us a chance from the start.

Short Take:The crap we endure year after year with the Twins keeps on reinventing itself. There is no title that would be able to do our frustration any justice.

Freddy sucked. The bullpen sucked. The Twins kept on hitting (as usual). And, our Sox ended up on the wrong end of a 12-6 final outcome, putting the Twins in sole possession of first place for the first time in a month.

The Twins came out on fire, scoring 5 runs in the first 2 frames. Included was a solo bomb by Jim Thome, which was actually greeted by a nice amount of cheers. Hopefully Indians fans were watching...That's how you seranade one of the classiest fromer players from your organization...Not with the boo birds they continue to shower the future HOFer!

In the bottom of the 2nd, TCQ gave us false hope, as he launched a 3-run no-doubt dinger to right, drawing the Sox within 2 runs--the closest they would be for the rest of the night.

Minnesota doubled their run total before we could score again in the bottom of the sixth (RBI single by Paul Konerko, scoring Alex Rios, and sac fly by TCM, scoring Konerko). But, the Twins countered with another pair of runs in the eighth.

TCQ got his fourth RBI of the game in groundout fashion in the bottom of the last frame, when a lot of Sox fans had already headed to the exits (and I don't blame them). Twins fans: remember this is a single baseball game in the middle of August. With 49 games left, this division's up for grabs. Let's hope we can get this one back tomorrow, as John Danks takes the bump. Same time, same place, different channel (WGN).

WSI's
TBGR Diary:
The Sox left themselves somewhere in Detroit. As bad as they looked in Baltimore, this seemed worse, at least to me...Care to toss another meatball right over the plate, Freddy?
