Danks For Nothing, John

September 22 vs. Land of 10,000 Losers Snack Cakes

KW's Daily Special:
Leftover Surprise
It seems as though Kenny's Burger Joint is going out of business soon, so they're clearing out everything imaginable from the back of their coolers.

Short Take:John Danks allows 7 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings as the Palehose get closer to the offseason.

Do you really want to know what happened tonight? If you weren't either at the game or watching it, here is the Cliffs Notes version of a game recap, because, quite frankly, I'd be putting forth more effort writing the Cliffs Notes version that than our Sox have put forth in this, the forgetable 2009 MLB campaign.

The Twins plated a crooked number in the top of the first (We trailed before even getting our first at bats...What else is new?), and we chipped away at the score, plating a single run in the bottom of the frame and getting a nice crooked number on the board symmetrical to that of the Twins' top of the 1st to take a 4-3 lead 1/3 of the way through the game...Thanks Bacon for hitting one as deep as you have entered every Sox fan's heart this season!

The rest of the game was a load of I-wish-I-could-curse-right-now! You know you've hit rock-bottom when you allow that punk Matt Tolbert, a career journeyman, to jack his 2nd one out of the season. That's ok, though. The Land of 10,000 Losers will be sitting at home in October as well while we watch the Tigers get swept by the Yankees. We Sox fans at least will have the Hawks and Bears to keep us occupied (Hawks season begins in 10 days, by the way). Twins fans have no diversion, as there is nothing to do up there, and their sports teams never win anything when it really counts. Tomorrow night is our last game against the crappy, perpetual losers (copyright JB98, 2008). It will be Mark Buehrle's last start at Comiskey this season, so get tickets while they're hot. Same time, same place, different channel (CSN +).

Critic's Corner:
2 stars: 1 goes out to Bacon for continuing to capture the hearts of Sox fans...Thank you for at least making this one interesting...While the other goes out to Paulie for going deep as well.
