Linebrink Sucks!

August 25 @ Boston Fake Sox

KW's Daily Special:
Leftover Surprise
It's moldy, it's gooey, and it will burn your intestines all the way down!

Short Take:Our Sox continue to be enigmatic.

My mother always told me that, if I have nothing good to say or do, I shouldn't say or do anything at all. I could curse up a storm if I wanted to. I could get in my car right now and hit every pedestrian in sight. I could drink the entire unopened bottle of rum that sits in my kitchen island cupboard so that I will never again have to watch another game where our Palehose can't get the big hit when they need it. Freddy Garcia pitched well enough to win tonight's game, but Scott Linebrink ****** everything up (what else is new?) as we dropped another game at Fenway Park 6-3.

The Fake Sox scored one in the 1st, but Jayson Nix got that back by depositing a pitch into the Green Monster seats in the visiting half of the 3rd. The Fakes went right back up when they came up to bat, and it stayed that way until the 7th, where the True Sox plated a pair. With ducks on the pond (Walnuts and JD) and 1 out, Jon Lester threw a wild pitch, which allowed Walnuts to score and TCM to reach. Nix followed by singling in JD to give the True Sox their only lead of the game. That would be all the scoring for the True Sox, as they couldn't do anything with their 1st and 3rd nobody out situation the next frame.

From the 7th Inning Stretch on, it was all Fake Sox, as they scored a quartet of runs, a trio of them against the least reliable guy in our bullpen (Liney, I better not catch you walking the streets of Chicago while I am in my car, you useless son of a gun!). Hopefully tomorrow's game goes better than these first two on this killer road trip. Gavin Floyd takes the bump against knuckleballer Tim Wakefield, who returns from the DL. Same time, same place, different channel (WCIU).

***President Obama, do us all a favor and bring every overseas soldier back home...We need Red Sox Nation wiped off the face of this planet immediately!

Critic's Corner:
1 star goes out to Freddy Garcia for giving us enough to win. -1 star goes out to Scott Linebrink for screwing things up for the millionth time this season. Net result: 0 stars
