Jose on cruise control!

April 16 at Baltimore

"These ain't your daddy's White Sox... We're going to keep going after a championship as aggressively as we can."

KW's Hole Cards:
Four of a kind!
Contreras, Thome, Linebrink & Jenks go all in!

Short Take:   Thome homers, Contreras does the rest.

All the Sox needed tonight was Jim Thome's big three run bomb in the first inning. Why you ask? Because Ole' Jose Contreras followed up a strong outing from last Friday with a schooling of the Orioles tonight in Baltimore.

Nick Swisher led off the game with a single and Orlando Cabrera followed up the lead off man with a walk. Setting up Jim Thome coming off his one day suspension with his 510th home run of his career. The three run home run gave the Sox a 3-0, which was all Jose Contreras needed tonight.

Besides the one run Jose gave up in the fourth inning, Contreras was dealing. Seven strong innings only giving up four hits and dominating Oriole hitters with six strikeouts gave Sox fans hope that this will be the Jose we will see all season and justifying these last two years on his contract.

Our Sox improve to 9-5 on this young season and will finish this brief two game tilt tomorrow night in Baltimore. Gavin Floyd will have to face a team besides the Tigers this time when he tries to keep his strong outings going. Game time is at 6:05pm and the game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet.

Quest For the Final Table Update:
Sox go for the flush tomorrow!
