We Taut We Twept Da Puddytats!

April 6th at Detroit Tigers

"These ain't your daddy's White Sox... We're going to keep going after a championship as aggressively as we can."

KW's Hole Cards:
Buehrle and Uribe

Pocket Rockets, Big Slick or Pure Bluff?
Buehrle proved that the opening day fluke was just that.

Short Take:The guaranteed, absolutely cannot miss AL Central champs continue to look for their first win. Aw, shucks!

So the battle of the aces began, and it soon became obvious that there was only one ace present--our own Mark Buehrle. Anyway, the Sox got on the board quickly with a Nick Swisher homer. Tigers tied it in the bottom of three. But the flop came in the top of five when the Sox put another couple of runs up.

And let's talk about Juan Uribe. He was amazing tonight at second.

The turn brought another couple of runs--six, to be exact--and all of a sudden, it was 9-1 Good Guys!

The river did little to keep the Tigers from sinking, but they did come up with another run. End of 7, Sox 9, Tigers 2.

Meanwhile in the ninth, Carlos Quentin continued to cement his status with the team, driving in three more runs. He was followed by Crede who drove him in. Nice for anyone who had the Sox in the 13-run pool!

The Kittens tried to start some trouble in the ninth, but it was to no avail. Sox 13, Tigers 2. And much as I hate to admit it, I thought the ESPN guys did a good job!

Quest For the Final Table Update:
The Sox moved on to the next table in a decisive manner.
